The Job

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Flash Programmer is part of the Game Development team and is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of new online games and game initiatives, such as virtual items, which we are rolling out across our portfolio of 50+ portals, reaching over 100 million players around the world. We are looking for people who are solution oriented, goal driven and look at technology as a tool to achieve an entertaining result. We believe that raw talent combined with a positive attitude is what is needed to make great games. Being part of the Game Development team you will be at the forefront of any new flash developments within SPIL Games.

Additionally, this person would:

• Take ownership of existing Action script games and contribute to a smooth handover process

• Tweak and improve games in order to improve the user experience and profitability

• Maintain compatibility of the games with their host environment and connected services such as social networks, payment platforms, metrics and moderation systems

• Work together with our studios, service developers, and functional designers in multidisciplinary SCRUM teams

• Work both on frontend and architecture level tasks

• Work closely together with web developers on client server communication improvements

We ask

Your Profile:

• HBO or university education in relevant field

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience

• Solid AS3 experience required

• Experience with Flash-to-server communication protocols (XML, AMF, Multiplayer servers such as Smartfox, etc)

• Javascript/Ajax experience a plus

• Good communicator (written and oral), especially strong English writing skills
