Business Analyst

Salary: 50,000 – 61,500 Euros per year, dependent upon experience
Term: 12 months fixed term contract

The function of Business Analysis sits within the Solutions Design team of a global Project Office, structured to help the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization proceed with major strategic initiatives to be implemented across a growing and transforming organization. Program priorities include the consolidation of applications supporting schools, educators, and services across the globe, as well as the creation of a management information portal built upon a business intelligence/data warehouse platform – as a member of Solution Design, a variety of projects associated with these major efforts will fall within your domain.

Based in the Hague Office and working with colleagues across global sites (UK, United States, Singapore and diverse vendor locations), you will be joining a team engaged to ensure business needs are analyzed, requirements are captured and managed effectively, options are evaluated, financial and business impacts are defined and that benefits are monitored and managed. You will work in tandem with stakeholders through the entire development lifecycle, to include requirements, design, testing, acceptance and post-implementation review.

Requirements:
• Experience with business requirements definition, design specification, data analysis, process modeling
• Strong familiarity and/or application of one or more systems development lifecycle methodologies
• Developed interview and analysis skills, relationship management skills, requirements facilitation
• Synthesis of reporting requirements including current/future formats, common themes, patterns
• General knowledge of or direct exposure to a functioning Project Office in terms of structure, process, milestone delivery, governance
• Use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio
• Ability to travel internationally consistent with project team and sponsor expectations
• Exposure to and appreciation of different cultures/workstyles/implications of varied time zones upon project communications
• Desire to learn, have fun and be part of a dynamic and diverse team

Desired but not essential:
• Exposure to one or more: Oracle eBusiness Solutions, SalesForce, Publishing tools
• Formal project management training (progress toward or completion of PMP/ISEB/Prince2)
• Six Sigma/BPM experience
• Data Analysis including source to target data mapping and data transformation rules
• Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and associated MS Analytics
• Interest in Education Management industry and Educational Technology tools
• Experience with consultants and vendors, including SOW and RPF efforts

Location:
The post will be based in The Hague, the Netherlands. The position will involve some international travel.
